Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. About this workshopSpend the week with artisan Hape Kiddle, exploring how to identify and capture forms found in space through carving fine woods. You will learn traditional techniques for visualising and carving abstract forms by substacting material and refining lines using specialist hand tools. At the end of the workshop you will proudly take your unique sculptural form to display at home.

Intermediate/advanced experience required.

Workshop appropriate - comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Small class size – max 6 participants

All instruction and materials included.

Explore how to identify and capture forms and learn traditional techniqes for visualising and carving abstract shapes using specialist hand tools.

Breaks occur at morning tea and lunch. Morning tea provided. Lunch available for pre-ordering.
