Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. We acknowledge their unceded sovereignty over Wadawurrung Country, and the ongoing hardship and trauma as a result of colonisation. The history and continuous culture of the Wadawurrung people is an important part of our shared story.

About the workshopLearn traditional weaving techniques with Wadawurrung woman, Tammy Gilson. Practice wrapping, coiling, shaping and stitching natural fibres to make an array of native floral forms. At the end of the workshop you will take home your unique decorative pieces.

Introductory/intermediate experience required.

Workshop appropriate - comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Large class size – max 18 participants

All instruction and materials included.

Learn to weave, shape and stitch natural fibres to create unique floral forms.

Breaks occur at morning tea and lunch. Morning tea provided. Lunch available for pre-ordering.
