3-Day Cane Rod Construction Intensive
About this workshop
Join cane rod makers David Anderson and Ken Bradbrook from Riverstoned Cane Rods for this 3-day intensive cane rod construction workshop.
In this workshop, you will construct your own split cane fly rod from the components provided. You will learn to split, flame, temper and prepare strips from an original bamboo culm and identify appropriate reels and lines for your finished rod.
David and Ken will tell you about the history of split cane fly rods and answer any questions you have about the practice. Over the weekend, you will have the opportunity to experience casting a variety of split cane rods.
At the end of the workshop, you will take home your own hand-made split cane fly rod.
