About this workshop
Learn to bind a book with bookbinder and conservator, Debra Parry!
In this full-day workshop, you will learn to create a hardbound book using basic hand tools and techniques. You will work in a small group with a maximum of 6 participants.You'll learn about the qualities of different papers as you size, cut and compile the text block. You'll cover the book board for the hard cover, insert the endpapers and stitch and glue the components into a completed volume.
At the end of the day, you'll take your hardbound book and your newfound knowledge and skills home with you.

What do I need to bring?
Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen.
Clothing guidelines
Workshop appropriate - closed toe shoes, hair tied back, no hanging jewellery, no baggy or flowing clothing.

Small class size – max 6 participants
