Introduction To Paper Cutting
About this workshop
Learn the art of traditional layered cut-paper illustrations with visual artist Ellen Sørensen.
In this full day workshop, you will create a scene from a series of cut paper panels which will be layered and mounted in a light box.
You will learn to handle the scalpel to effectively cut watercolour-weight paper before creating your own designs and building a light box display.
This workshop will cover composition, layering, framing and working in miniature as well as how to get the best out of your subject matter when working with light.
At the end of the workshop, you will take your finished artwork home ready to be put on display.

What do I need to bring?
Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen.
Clothing guidelines
Comfortable but fitted clothing with no baggy sleeves. Long hair pulled back. Closed-toed shoes
