Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. We acknowledge their unceded sovereignty over Wadawurrung Country, and the ongoing hardship and trauma as a result of colonisation. The history and continuous culture of the Wadawurrung people is an important part of our shared story.

About this workshop
Take your carving abilities to the next level in this relief carving masterclass with Olivia O’Connor. In this 2-day workshop, you will build upon your knowledge and skills and hand carve your choice of design: the classical 3 Hares which dates back to medieval times or Olivia’s modern interpretation, 3 Happy Dogs. At the end of the workshop, you will take your finished piece home with you.

This workshop is open to participants with some carving experience who have completed an introductory workshop such as Olivia's <a href="https://www.raretradescentre.com.au/events/relief-carving/">Relief Carving</a> class.

Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen.

Workshop appropriate – closed toe shoes, no hanging jewellery, hair tied back.

Small class size – max 8 participants

All instruction, tools and materials included.

You will learn traditional woodworking techniques to carve a relief panel using hand tools.

A lunch break and morning tea break are included with morning tea provided.
