ABOUT HELEN:
Helen is a lover of all things handmade. She is a needle lacemaker with a passion for its application in raised embroidery and the history of needle lace in all its forms.
WE SAY:
Dr Helen Crabb is a Veterinary Epidemiologist by career but has always made things by hand. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she threw herself into her arts practice and awoke her dormant love of needle lace. Helen is a certified trainer and assessor and has taught at a tertiary level for many years. She teaches needle lace and embroidery at the Victorian Embroiderers Guild and The Embroidery Den and regularly demonstrates with the Australian Lace Guild.
