ABOUT JULIE:
Julie is a fashion designer and fashion educator with a career in fashion and textiles spanning four decades. She is a highly regarded industry veteran and academic. Julie founded her own fashion label Lilly Pilly Designs and has had a long career as a fashion leader and lecturer at RMIT and Holmesglen Institute.
WE SAY:
Julie studied fashion design at Bendigo Tafe and went on to work with Sportscraft for 12 years where she was responsible for training machinists to sew to professional standards. Julie has taught people of all ages and abilities from secondary school to post-graduate level. Sustainability is at the core of her practice, and she currently teaches this subject to the next generation of fashion practitioners.
