Nicola Cerini

Printed Textile Designer

Slow, methodical, magical.

Screen design and printing is a process with a series of steps that take you on a journey of discovery. There’s a wonder to the experiment as you explore along the way shapes, textures, surfaces and paint combinations which all come together to create art inspired by nature.

The magic moment arrives when you lift the screen from the fabric to see something that came from your mind and hands. The possibilities of creation are limitless.

Nicola Cerini has over three decades of experience in her rare trade. She graduated with a BA in Textile Design majoring in Screen Printing from RMIT in 1991 and went on to work as an apprentice at The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia in 1995. Nicola has taught screen-printing at a tertiary level and through workshops, internships, mentorships and work experience. Her self-titled business focuses on creating textiles for the body and the home.
