Meet the Instructors
Olivia O'Connor

Olivia O'Connor

Engaging, instructive, revealing.

I love the process of making things with my hands that I know will last and I love sharing that passion with other people as well. I have a specialist degree from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in prop making with wood, foam sculpting, model making and puppet creation. I find it really rewarding start on something from beginning to end and have that sense of accomplishment come through.

Olivia O'Connor is a woodworker specialising in handmade rocking horses, rocking horse restoration and decorative carving. She has worked for theatres in London and Sydney as a Prop Maker and Scenic Artist. In 2017, Olivia was awarded the George Alexander Fellowship from ISSI which allowed her to travel to the USA to learn from some of the world’s best instructors.
