ABOUT SAMANTHA:
Samantha Thompson is a professional artist, workshop and community arts facilitator located in regional Victoria. She is finishing a Master of Contemporary Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her career has spanned over 20 years and in this time she has become known for her vibrant and playful style with her works exhibited internationally and found in private and public collections around the world.
WE SAY:
Samantha's work spans across mediums including textile art, printmaking, mixed media and soft sculpture. Her pieces are bold and colourful and evoke a sense of curiosity and joy. She creates contemporary works that are grounded in traditional textile and printmaking techniques such as linocut and doll making.
