Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. About this workshop
Learn about beginner leatherworking tools and techniques and make pair of leather elbow guards with leathercrafter Alexander Stone. In this 1-day workshop, you will learn about using different types of leather, working with patterns, using basic hand tools, and setting rivets and buckles. The process will take you from start to finish of making a pair of elbow guards, great for LARP, cosplay, or even for use in the garden. At the end of the day, you will take your elbow guards home with you.

Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen

Workshop appropriate - closed toe shoes, no hanging jewellery, hair tied back. Clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit grubby in the workshop.

Small class size – max 8 participants

All instruction, tools and materials provided

You will learn about using different types of leather, working with patterns, using basic hand tools, and setting rivets and buckles

A lunch break and morning tea break are included with morning tea provided
