Slab Built Vase and Vessel

About this workshop
Learn the ceramics technique of slab building with ceramic artist, Minna Graham!
In this full-day workshop, you will learn to make functional and sculptural vases and vessels using slab construction techniques. You will work in a small group with a maximum of 6 participants.Minna will teach you to prepare your clay by rolling and cutting out slabs and assemble your structure by sticking and joining the pieces together. You'll have the chance to experiment with creative manipulation to create abstract shapes and decorative techniques including water etching and scraffito to add depth and texture to your work.
At the end of the workshop, you will have created some striking forms which will be fired, glazed and delivered to your address two months after the workshop (it might seem like a long time, but Minna will explain why in the workshop.)
