3 Day Frame Drum Making Intensive
About this workshop
Over three days, you will use traditional hand tools and steam-bending methods to make your own drum. You will learn about timber species and selection, shaping the main drum shell, hand-hammering zills (cymbals), skin application and much more.
At the end of the workshop, you will take your finished instrument home with you.
This workshop is suitable for adults 18+ and teens 15+ if accompanied by a parent or guardian also participating in the workshop.
Please note: Natural skins will be used on these drums.

What do I need to bring?
Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen. An open mind.
Clothing guidelines
Workshop appropriate - closed toe shoes, no hanging jewellery, hair tied back
