Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. About this workshopLearn to make a stitched leather hip pouch with leather crafter Alexander Stone. In this 1-day workshop, you will learn to use patterns, choose the right leather, work with basic hand tools and apply saddle-stitching. The process will take you from start to finish of making a stitched leather hip pouch that slides right onto your belt. At the end of the day, you will take your accessory home with you.

Introductory/intermediate skill level required.

Workshop appropriate - comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Small class size – max 8 participants

All instruction and materials included.

Learn basic skills and methods for choosing leather, cutting to a pattern, punching for stitching, and saddle stitching using traditional hand tools.

Breaks at morning tea and lunch provided. Morning tea provided. Lunch available for pre-ordering.
