This May, the Rare Trades Centre, CRAFT and the City of Ballarat present Craft Lab 24 celebrating our shared commitment to fostering and sustaining the exemplary craft practices of local and regional artisans.
Throughout Craft Lab 24 the Rare Trades Centre is offering a series of curated experiences with artisans.
Learn the art of relief carving with woodworker Olivia O'Connor.
This is a day-long class where you will get a feel for woodcarving and hand-carve your own wooden panel from a choice of designs (koi fish or gum leaves).
At the end of the workshop, you will take your finished piece home with you.

What do I need to bring?
Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen.
Clothing guidelines
Workshop appropriate – closed toe shoes, no hanging jewellery, hair tied back
Maximum class size
Small class size – max 8 participants
