Spinning Wheel Troubleshooting
About this workshop
Have you recently dusted off Nanna’s old spinning wheel, or purchased someone else’s Nanna’s wheel – only to find that it needs some TLC before it will work for you?
Bring your troublesome spinning wheel to the Rare Trades Centre for hands-on assessment and adjustment by Cloverleaf Corriedale Stud owner, award-winning fleece producer, and skilled fibre woman Ronelle Welton.
Ronelle will teach you about the features of different types of spinning wheels, show you how to repair and care for your own, and help you bring it back to full productivity. Then, she will guide you through a test drive that ensures you and your wheel are ready to translate fleece into the beautiful handspun yarn of your dreams.
