Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. About this workshop
 
Learn to make a buckled leather pouch with leathercrafter Alexander Stone.
 In this 1-day workshop, you will learn to use patterns, choose the right leather, work with basic hand tools and apply saddle-stitching. The process will take you from start to finish of making a buckled leather pouch, in your choice of colour that slides right onto your belt. At the end of the day, you will take your accessory home with you.

Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen

Workshop appropriate - closed-toed shoes, hair tied back, no hanging jewellery, no baggy or flowing clothing.

Small class size – max 8 participants

All instruction, tools and materials provided

At the end of this workshop, you will have an understanding of working with leather as a material, have a solid grasp on saddle stitching and be comfortable with basic tools, and working from patterns.
