Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. The history and continuous culture of the Wadawurrung people is an important part of our shared story.

About this workshop
Learn to bezel set a stone in precious metal with silver smith Rachel Grose.
In this 2-day workshop, you will learn to bezel set a round cabochon. You will practice the technique on a ring and have another opportunity to set a stone in a pendant of your own design. A selection of beautiful gemstones ranging from deep blue Lapis Lazuli to clear shimmering Moonstones will be available to choose from.
At the end of the workshop, you can take your unique pieces home to add to your jewellery collection. This is an intermediate workshop suitable for participants who have already completed one of Rachel’s Silversmithing – Ring Making workshops.

Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen.

Workshop appropriate - closed toe shoes, hair tied back, no hanging jewellery, no baggy or flowing clothing.

Small class size – max 8 participants

All instruction, tools and materials included.

You will learn to bezel set a gemstone in silver jewellery using traditional tools and techniques.

A lunch break and morning tea break are included with morning tea provided.
