Tapestry Weaving - Introduction
About this workshop
Learn to warp and weave on a simple frame loom.
In this two-day workshop, you will learn the techniques required to complete a sample of textile art.
At the end of the second day, you will take your tapestry home with you, complete with a wooden loom and bobbin handmade by the Wheelwrights and Coach Builders at Sovereign Hill. Tim will also provide you with a list of material suppliers, websites and books about tapestry.

Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen
Clothing guidelines
Comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes.

You will learn
You will learn to warp a frame tapestry loom and weave a sample. If you have not finished your piece by the end of the session, you will have the skills necessary to complete it at home.
