Introduce your young off-sider to the basics of woodworking with artisan Tim Schloss in this shared workshop experience designed for two-person teams of youngsters and adults. So one price - two participants!In this two-day workshop you will learn how to use traditional hand tools to prepare, shape and complete a simple wood object. The skills you will explore include:
- Milling and jointing
- Sawing and planing
- Drilling , gluing, and clamping;
- Shaping, sanding and finishing.
All of this good work will go into creating a unique Adventure Sword essential to the imaginary quest of every young person.
Suitable for young people 10+. All participants under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen
Clothing guidelines
Workshop appropriate - closed-toed shoes, hair tied back, no hanging jewellery, no baggy or flowing clothing.

You will learn
You will learn a range of techniques including measuring and marking out, sawing, chiselling, planning, filing and finishing. You will also use planning and problem-solving skills to design your sword.
